Guernsey based Team Slayer travelled to Tvedestrand in Norway to compete in the UIM Class 3A World Championships. With 13 boats entering and competitors mainly from the Nordic region, 3 races were held over 4 days. The team won their first race in extremely rough conditions and in race two they came second. In the final race with the roughest race conditions of the week disaster struck; a heavy landing on the face of a large wave unfortunately snapped the engine mounts and Slayer II limped back to port.
However, with the points from the first two races, Team Slayer secured second place overall and a silver medal.
PEA wishes Team Slayer continued success in their next race in Guernsey!
