Zoë Thomas – Client Relationship Manager
Where am I based?
I am based in Guernsey, and will be celebrating my 10th anniversary with PEA in April 2017.
What areas of my job do I specialise in?
At PEA we are all multi-taskers with a huge number of skills but I specialise in back office operating models, fund and carried interest partner vehicle administration, investor relations, banking (including payments and processing), SharePoint portal solutions, regulation, corporate governance and corporate secretarial processes.
My employment history
Prior to joining PEA in 2008 I worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland International in Guernsey as a Client Services Officer and Electronic Banking Consultant for period of 8 years.
How did I get into Fund Administration?
Previously working in Client Services at RBSI I got to see and hear about parts of the fund administration process which always came across as more interesting than trust or insurance. I like that no two days are ever the same!
What are my professional qualifications ?
I gained my Certificate in Financial Services Practice through the Guernsey Business School and have completed the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators’ Certificate in Offshore Finance and Administration.
What do the team say about my work contribution?
“Zoë’s common sense approach to fund administration has streamlined an otherwise complicated process.”
What’s my favourite thing about working at PEA?
The small size of the company means I get to be part of, and see, the whole relationship with our clients from start to finish and don’t feel like a small piece of a large puzzle.
What do I like to do in my spare time?
With two boys I don’t have much ‘spare’ time, I like socialising, walking, going to the gym and reading.
If I wasn’t working in fund administration what would I like to be doing?
I’d love to be a nurse, especially a midwife.
If I could visit anywhere in the world where would I like to go and why?
I was born and have family in New Zealand but grew up in Australia. Despite these connections, I have not seen much of the countries so I’d definitely like to go to explore Australia more and the south of New Zealand.
What would my perfect night out be?
It would have to be a warm summers evening, a barbecue with friends and a nice glass of something cold, of course! Good food and friends – quite simple really!
